You can find the answer to what makes you happy in many books, including those by Kosta Petrov, a public figure known for his works such as “Se gledame na vrvot,” “Stravot,” and “Nasheto posledno kafe.” In an interview, Kosta shared his definition of happiness stating that when he was young, his father being home was the happiest moment for him, even though his father’s job often caused financial stress. As a child, he thought happiness was little moments of pleasure. However, now he knows that happiness comes from within. Kosta believes that perception of happiness can often be wrong. Happiness is being able to smile during difficult moments, finding peace in your soul, and it is within all of us. Happiness is a choice, he says. Kosta believes that even though things may seem chaotic at times, everything is in perfect order. He suggests that we need patience and to focus on the bigger picture, learning from everything that happens to us. For Kosta, happiness was wrapped in the gift of his daughter, teaching him what is truly important in life. Some people say that happiness lies in anything that makes us feel good, something that makes us feel alive again because we all deserve it. With this thought, we wish you beautiful days, filled with things that truly make you happy. Time is short! Text by Nina Slavkovska; Photos from Unsplash and private archive.
