An Euronews Albania survey has revealed that the incumbent Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, remains the most popular politician in the country. The poll asked Albanians to give their opinion on the country’s main political leaders, with positive or negative evaluations also given for the leader of the opposition Democratic Party, Sal Berisha; the leader of the Party of Liberty, Ilir Meta; and the current and acting president of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj. 49.7% of respondents had a negative or strongly negative opinion of Rama, while 47.3% had a positive or strongly positive opinion of him, and 3% refused to respond. Berisha had the most negative evaluations with 70.4% of those surveyed having a negative or strongly negative opinion of him, while 26.8% had a positive or strongly positive opinion of him, and 2.8% refused to respond. Former Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha had a negative or strongly negative opinion from 76.7% of respondents, while 20.2% had a positive or strongly positive opinion of him, and 3.1% refused to respond. Ilir Meta, who was the country’s president until July 2019, received negative or strongly negative opinions from 87.6% of those surveyed, while 8.8% had a positive or strongly positive opinion of him, and 3.6% refused to respond. As for Enkelejd Alibeaj, 72.1% had a negative or strongly negative opinion of him, while 20.8% had a positive or strongly positive opinion, and 7.1% refused to answer.
