The police are searching for the individuals who were driving a car and pulling a horse, which collapsed in the middle of the road due to exhaustion. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that they are investigating the case, as the public demands accountability. Unofficially, since the police have access to the vehicle registration, officials will easily be able to identify the perpetrators who mistreated the horse.
The Sector for Internal Affairs in Skopje has taken measures and actions to clarify the case and will inform the public accordingly once the case is resolved, said the Ministry of Internal Affairs to “Makfax”.
The footage shows how the animal falls when the car it was tied to speeds up to avoid causing a disturbance in the traffic. The car stops when the horse falls, and three people get out to move the animal and continue to pull it.
Such scenes are becoming more common in the capital city, and many animal protection activists are calling on the authorities to take action against those who inhumanely treat and torture animals.
