Dejan Georgievski, the best Macedonian taekwondo fighter, returned home from the International Tournament “Bulgaria Open” with a bronze medal. Due to injury, he could not fight in the semifinals against Cheick Salah Sise from Ivory Coast. Georgievski won two dominant victories over Sotiros Mihopoulos from Greece and Andrei Harbar from Ukraine, earning new points for the Olympic norm. Taekwondo is a full-contact fighting sport that often leads to hellish injuries, and Georgievski has overcome many, making him a true champion. His next challenge is in a tournament in Belgium in two weeks.
