A large number of Israelis took to the streets today for the ninth consecutive week to protest against the government’s justice reforms. Israeli media reports that around 300,000 citizens protested throughout the country. According to the police spokesperson, around 200 protesters breached the police cordons in Hashalom, Tel Aviv, and set off rockets, prompting the police to intervene. The police announced that four protesters were arrested during the protests against the judicial reforms in Jerusalem tonight for an alleged attack on policemen. The protesters started a march after the large rally near the President’s Residence but were prevented from proceeding along Ben Saruk Street by the police. “During this procession and due to inappropriate behavior and a case of violence against police officers, four suspects were arrested and taken for questioning to the police station,” said the police spokesperson.
