French football club Nice has advised its fans not to travel to Moldova next week for the team’s first match in the round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League against Sheriff. The club described the security situation in Moldova as “at least unfavourable” for its fans. Moldovan team Sheriff comes from the city of Tiraspol near the border with Ukraine, but due to security concerns, all their matches in European competitions this season are being played in the capital city, Chisinau. The Moldovan team had a home match against Partizan in the round of 32 behind closed doors. However, UEFA announced yesterday that the match between Sheriff and Nice could be played in the presence of fans.
Советот на Ница за навивачите е да не патуваат во Молдавија.
