The leader of the Albanian opposition Democratic Party (PD), Sali Berisha, announced that the protest scheduled for tomorrow at 12 noon will be the most massive so far. He stated that citizens are dealing with a highly dangerous criminal (Eduard Rama) who is a threat to the state and society and must be removed as soon as possible. When asked if the protest coincided with the court’s decision on who would be the successor to the PD, he stated that “tomorrow’s protest has no connection with the court’s decision.” He accused Eduard Rama, Erion Veliaj (Mayor of Tirana), and Yuri Kim (US Ambassador) of making a powerful intervention in the court’s decision. Berisha was also asked about Rama’s statement from the parliamentary podium that there would be another non-grata soon. He replied that he didn’t care what Rama said and that what he did to the US could only be done by Lukashenko, Putin, or even Vucic. Meanwhile, the police announced that they have taken all necessary measures to guarantee order and security before, during, and after the protest, which will take place at “National Heroes Square.”
