A dog was rescued from under the rubble 25 days after two devastating earthquakes hit the city of Hatay in Turkey. Rescue teams from AFAD and other services were working on removing rubble in Antakya, Hatay when they heard a voice from under one of the heaps, which prompted a search. After a successful operation by search and rescue teams, it was found that a terrier breed dog had managed to find food under the rubble and survived. After being removed from the rubble, the dog was taken to a veterinary clinic. While removing the rubble, a body was also found at the same location, which is believed to be the owner of the rescued dog. According to data released by the French press agency, more than 50,000 people died in the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria on February 6.
