The main question and message that SKOPSKO is sending in their new TV spot for the socially responsible platform – OUR PRIDE. OUR RESPONSIBILITY, which was first introduced in December of last year, is “what will we leave behind?” The platform is created with the sole purpose of preserving the beautiful natural resources that our country abounds with, through responsible waste disposal, giving recognition to all groups and individuals who through their personal examples show how to take care of them, and encourage action for them to shine in all their glory.
The first step for this year is the “Together for a Clean Ohrid Lake” campaign, which starts with an initiative to raise funds, where for every 0.5l glass bottle of Skopsko and Skopsko Smooth sold, 1 denar is set aside for activities dedicated to cleaning our most recognizable natural landmark. Some of the planned activities, for which these funds will be used, include setting up obstacles on some of the biggest polluters of Lake Ohrid – the Sateska River and the Daljan River, cleaning actions on the lake’s coastline and bottom, as well as various activities focused on raising awareness of the problem and educating the general public on solutions.
“The idea of this campaign is to include all Skopsko lovers in a broad and inclusive manner – by buying their favorite beer, they can directly support the cause and join in realizing the idea of long-term maintenance of a clean Lake Ohrid. This is the beginning of the campaign, but in the years that follow, the focus will be on other natural and cultural landmarks. The ultimate goal is to contribute to a purified environment and an educated public that knows how to protect it through joint action,” said Marta Zavkova, Senior Brand Manager at Skopsko.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with key partners Pakomak, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, the municipalities of Ohrid, Struga, and Debrca, as well as volunteers.
“Slowly but surely, the idea of a clean and green future is having a positive impact on everyone, and even though there is still a lot of work to be done, every step forward is important! At this moment, education on circular economy is particularly important, and it is precisely through the collection, selection, and recycling of waste that we can contribute to a cleaner environment,” said Filip Ivanovski, CEO of Pakomak.
