The government has made a decision obligating bread traders to produce and sell white and semi-white bread, sliced or in pieces, at a maximum price of 33 denars. Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi announced the decision stating, “Every product will have a fair price.” The government order applies to legal and physical entities registered for commercial activities, as well as producers who sell their products in their own shops or to other wholesale and retail food traders. The second article of the order specifies that at least 80% of bread produced must be sold at the frozen price. The traders must purchase and sell a minimum of 80% of the bread produced as stipulated in the order. They must also pay the invoice within 20 days of receiving it.
