The My VAT measure is yielding excellent results in the fight against the grey economy and in improving the citizens’ standard of living, affirmed Deputy President of SDSM, Sanja Lukarevska, during an appearance on Television Star.
“We have 520,000 registered users on the My VAT application, and payments are made regularly in accordance with our obligations, that is within 60 days after the end of the respective quarter. The limit for each quarter will be increased once the legislative changes are adopted, and we expect that to happen soon,” Lukarevska stated.
Regarding the VAT refunds for companies, Lukarevska emphasized that, unlike before, VAT refunds are now made on time and non-selectively.
“In the past, several years ago, we had to wait for VAT refunds, and there were manipulations and blackmail surrounding VAT refunds for companies. However, this is no longer the case. VAT refunds for the economy are constantly increasing, are always on time and are non-selective. It is our obligation and part of our partnership commitment towards the taxpayers and our concern for liquidity in the economy,” Lukarevska concluded.
