Five outcomes of our talks with Prime Minister

1. Greece joined the aviation coalition: it will train our pilots to fly F-16s. Greece is also preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.
2. I proposed ways for Greece to assist us in securing Ukraine’s new Black Sea corridor, ensuring freedom of navigation and unhindered grain exports.
3. We discussed Greece’s participation in Ukraine’s recovery, including the possibility of Greece taking patronage over the recovery of Odesa.
4. Following Greece’s signing of the G7 Declaration in support of Ukraine we agreed to proceed to bilateral talks on security guarantees.
5. Ukraine prepares to open EU accession talks this year and I thank Greece for supporting us on our way to joining the EU. I am especially grateful to Prime Minister Mitsotakis for today’s signing of the declaration in support of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
I also sincerely thank Greece for convening the Ukraine-Balkan summit, a broad format of our joint work on ensuring freedom and security for all of our nations and our entire Europe.
