The president of the Spanish La Liga, Javier Tebas, has once again threatened Barcelona, telling the Catalan club that they will not be able to make any transfers this summer because they have failed to put their financial state in order. Tebas says that Barcelona has not complied with La Liga’s financial regulations, and despite taking economic measures to increase revenue last summer, when they sold some of their future TV rights, they still failed to meet the league’s requirements. Tebas warned that if such an important club as Barcelona does not respect the league’s financial rules, then the competition will not be regular. Barcelona spent around 150 million euros last summer, and also signed two players on free transfers, putting their finances in a precarious position.
