Her statement came in response to a question about the appointment of Talat Dzaferi’s son as a public prosecutor and whether it would affect public trust in the justice system. Gaber-Damjanovska’s comments attracted criticism on social media due to past incidents in which politically connected individuals received positions without going through the proper hiring procedures. It was suggested that Barlet Dzaferi’s law degree might be invalidated due to potential violations of administrative procedures. However, the Council of Public Prosecutors recently announced that Dzaferi and 27 other candidates will be considered for 31 open public prosecutor positions.
